New Construction Inspection

Pre Slab Inspection

A pre-slab inspection is an assessment performed before concrete is poured to ensure the foundation is built correctly according to the plans and building codes. During this inspection, an inspector checks the site's grading, form boards, plumbing, and electrical setups, as well as the placement of reinforcement, such as rebar and vapor barriers. Catching mistakes like incorrect plumbing, rebar, or structural dimensions at this stage is much easier and less expensive than after the concrete has set.

Pre Drywall Inspection

A pre-drywall inspection is a critical review of a new home's structure and systems after framing but before walls are covered with drywall. It ensures quality control and allows for the correction of defects in the foundation, framing, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems that would be costly and difficult to fix later. Key areas checked include structural integrity, proper installation of electrical and plumbing lines, and the insulation and sealing of the HVAC system.

Final Walk-Through Inspection

A final walkthrough inspection is your last opportunity to visually and functionally assess a property before closing to ensure it is in the agreed-upon condition. You should check that all agreed-upon repairs are complete, all seller belongings have been removed, and all systems and appliances are functioning correctly. It is recommended to schedule the walkthrough as close to closing as possible, but at least a day or two before, to provide time to address any issues.
